Have you ever googled how to teach your kids to tell time? I mean seriously there are 2,000,00000000000 hits and when you start looking through everything I feel completely overwhelmed. 3 Simple Steps to Teach Kids to Tell Time

As I said earlier, all it’s going to take is 3 simple steps to teach kids to tell time, so here we go.

STEP 1: Read the numeral that the minute (long) hand is pointing to

STEP 2: Say “past” if the minute hand is on the green/blue OR “to” if it is located on the pink/red section (colour depends on style of watch purchased)

STEP 3: Read the numeral on the hour (short) hand is pointing to

For example: 15 past 2 (as seen on the image of the purple watch)

Continue to repeat until your child can tell the time without you pointing.

I also love how the clock/watches do NOT make that horrible tick… tick… tick… sound, which means kids can learn without being distracted. To get your kids learning to tell time, but also for the best Australian online educations kids store head to Finlee and Me or to purchase directly head to Easyread Time Teacher Kids Clock or Easyread Time Teacher Kids Watch.
